Montalvo's History, Science, and Arts Field Trips are available for third and fourth grade classes: Visit the historic Villa, gardens, theatres, and trails while learning about local and California history. Students will walk through the historic mansion of California's first popularly elected U.S. Senator, explore the wild forest trails and manicured gardens, learn about the conflict around water rights and Hetch Hetchy Valley, draw a sketch of the Villa and sculptures, and recite words written by California poets -- where they and their contemporaries performed for friends. These docent-led tours are both educational and fun!
