Montalvo celebrates its Centennial in 2012, and to honor the anniversary, a new exhibition, O' Great Reverie: Montalvo 1912-2012, is on view in the Project Space Gallery through May 13.
The exhibition serves as both a historical timeline and a unique art installation. Stop in and see snapshots of our history, interact with the materials, watch videos and listen to audio recordings of stories, and write your own memories of Montalvo in a special guestbook! Click here to see photos from last weekend's opening night celebration.

Garden Curator Del McComb will discuss "Sustaining Landscapes" at the Chit-Chat Club, March 7.
|
Along with with O' Great Reverie, we will be celebrating our history through a series of talks called the Chit-Chat Club. Inspired by Senator Phelan's own participation in a group with the same name, these talks will explore key topics central to Montalvo's mission. They will take place monthly on Wednesday evenings in the Phelan Library inside the Villa, and are FREE to the public.
If you can't make it to Montalvo on a Wednesday night, fear not! We will stream each conversation LIVE online via Google+ Hangouts. You'll be able to watch and submit your questions for the speakers right from your home or office. Click here to visit our Google+ page and add Montalvo to your circles!

|
First, join us on Sunday, February 12, at 7:30pm, as Eddie Palmieri and the Brian Lynch Jazz Quartet perform. Palmieri's music has been described as "deeper than any salsa and funkier than any Latin jazz." A legendary icon, musical perfectionist, and nine-time Grammy winner, Palmieri has made a significant mark on the history of Latin music. Watch the video above to see him perform with Brian Lynch last year!
On Saturday, February 16, at 8pm, Tchaikovsky Competition (2011) gold medal winner Daniil Trifonov will perform. At just 21 years old, Russian-born Trifonov has already received international acclaim through competitions and performances in Russia, Germany, China, Italy, and more. His performance at Montalvo is an exclusive, one-night-only engagement!
On Sunday, February 26, at 7:30pm, Simone Dinnerstein will perform in a concert rescheduled from January. Dinnerstein is a true master of classical works, from Bach to Schubert to modern pieces, and she is the only classical artist to have appeared on Billboard's Top 200 charts. If you already have tickets to the January concert, which was postponed due to illness, they will be honored at this show; limited tickets are still available, so purchase yours today!
You won't want to miss any of these outstanding performers. Purchase tickets online today or call the Box Office at 408-961-5858 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
