The historic legacy of Montalvo Arts Center began 80 years ago when Senator Phelan bequeathed his magnificent estate to the people of California for the purpose of nurturing and sustaining the arts. Today, that legacy endures: Montalvo Arts Center is one of the premier arts centers and artist residencies in California. When you choose to participate in the Dedicate-a-Bench program, your philanthropic contribution makes you a partner in helping us to sustain this community treasure and in welcoming others to enjoy it. All proceeds will be used to preserve and maintain the historic Villa and gardens.
