Having spent 16 years in the Bay Area, Joseph Humphrey's culinary approach celebrates the region's local, sustainable, and organic farms, ranches, and artisans. Humphrey is currently in the process of opening a new restaurant, Dixie, in the Presidio.  He was previously the executive chef of Murray Circle restaurant at Cavallo Point in Marin County and, before that, the executive chef at Auberge du Soleil and at The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa Valley, which, under his guidance, won two Michelin stars. Humphrey also helped open Fifth Floor, one of Wine Spectator's "Top 20 Restaurants in the US." In collaboration with Andrea Blum, Humphery will demonstrate the art of haute cuisine. The demonstration will be followed by a seated tasting and conversation with these chefs.
