Blending the vibrant colors and vigorous rhythms of Latin American, Hawaiian and European music with the sumptuous voices of the wind quintet: flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon, Quinteto Latino’s Mele Musik Musica Muziki Musicfeatures songs from each member’s ethnic heritage. Each piece in this highly interactive show teaches the word “music” in the languages of the respective cultures, culminating in a multi-lingual song featuring the word “music” in every language represented by the ensemble.
