] An Opening Reception will be held in the Project Space Gallery for Rach
el Sussman's new exhibition\, The Oldest Living Things in the World.Sussma
n's landscape-based photography is rooted in a subtle exploration of huma
nity's complex relationship with nature and\, by extension\, with itself.
Sussman employs formal devices such as restricted color palates\, carefu
l consideration of the tensions between grounds\, and selective use of li
nes and shapes to further the dialogue between aesthetics\, content\, and
form. What results is a unique visual system\, imbued with cultural\, na
tural\, and scientific context drawn from her travels all around the worl
d.Sussman will be appearing at the gallery to discuss her work in a specia
l Artist Talk on Saturday\, November 13 at 1pm.Come early at 6pm and drop
in to the Carriage House Theatre\, where our you can see our FREE Final Fr
