VENUE: Carriage House Theatre

With a musical career spanning four decades, Melissa Manchester is truly a multi-talented artist. Her songs have been recorded by Barbara Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, Roberta Flack, and many more. She has achieved international success with her hits "Through The Eyes Of Love" and "Don't Cry Out Loud." Her 16th album, When I Look Down That Road, is out now.

A three-time Grammy nominee and a 1982 Grammy winner for Best Female Vocalist, Manchester also received two Academy Award nominations in 1980 for her theme songs to the films Ice Castles and The Promise. She has combined her acting and singing talents in starring roles in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Song And Dance and Music Of The Night, Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, and HATS! - for which she co-wrote several of the songs. She has made numerous television appearances and also co-starred with Bette Midler in the acclaimed 1991 film For The Boys.

Recently, Manchester received rave reviews for her Los Angeles production of Fascinating Rhythms - an ode to ballroom dancing with original music by Manchester and dance numbers choreographed by dancer and director Cate Caplin. She is also prominently featured in the soundtrack (and has a cameo) in the new independent film Dirty Girl, starring Juno Temple, which received significant buzz at last year's Toronto International Film Festival.
