Add to Google CalendarAs part of Montalvo's master class series and based on Montalvo's Salon Series, the Cypress String Quartet explores the intricate process of creativity and inspiration with Monta Vista High School's orchestra program.
The April 10 master class leads up to the April 17 concert at which Cypress String Quartet will premier the newest quartet by brilliant young San Francisco composer Kurt Rohde. Rohde composed this new piece of music using Joseph Haydn’s final completed quartet, Opus 77 No. 2, as inspiration. Rohde will be in attendance at the concert to provide insight into the creative process that culminated in this stunning new string quartet.
