Based on the tremendous success of the culinary master class program launched in 2007, Montalvo brings Lucas Artists Programs culinary fellow Jessie Benthien to Lynhaven Elementary School’s second grade for a six-week program.

Montalvo’s culinary fellowship is founded on the philosophies of sustainable agriculture and the slow-food movement. Within this master class, students will learn about a variety of foods and the cultures and communities they can create. Young students will prepare meals together under the expert guidance of our culinary fellow, and will come to understand our connection to the earth in a way that is unique in our world of quick, processed foods.
