  Note: This class is part of a camp. Dates are: Feb. 16\, 17\, 18\, 19.In 
 this camp\, students will make their own stop-motion animation and learn t
 he multi-stepped process of "claymation" animation through hands-on creati
 on of an animated short film\, from start to finish. Each student will lea
 rn to storyboard\, sculpt and build wire armatures and transform clay into
  "living" objects. Participants will rotate through the roles of photograp
 her\, animator\, director and narrator\, and will take home a DVD of their
  finished short film. Camp culminates on Friday with a mini-film festival 
 for family and friends to enjoy. About the instructor:Corinne Okada Takara
  is a Bay Area artist and arts educator. Her mixed media work has shown lo
 cally and internationally. Most recently she participated in an Arts in Em
 bassies exhibit in Brussels and was honored with an artist residency at th
 e de Young Museum in San Francisco. For ages: 5-8
