 3\, 30Explore a variety of water-based mediums in this fun painting class.
  Using watercolor\, acrylics and ink coupled with traditional and non-trad
 itional methods\, participants will take an experimental approach to creat
 ing original works of art. Paint qualities and characteristics will be tau
 ght\, as well as a wide variety of painting techniques\, including glazing
 \, masking\, spatter\, texture\, wet on wet and drybrush. About the instru
 ctor: Ken Hay's formal training began at Boston's School of the Museum of 
 Fine Arts\, and he completed his BFA degree at Tufts University. Hay taugh
 t martial arts and was a long-term artist-in-residence at several public s
 chools. As a practicing professional\, Hay focuses mainly in watercolor. H
 e currently teaches art at Hillbrook School in Los Gatos\, including funda
 mentals of painting\, oil painting\, acrylics\, watercolor\, Japanese wood
 block prints\, puppetry and set design. For ages: 7-11
