 isting of Montalvo's children's events. Exploring the sculptural fiber art
  techniques of Bay Area artist Corinne Takara. Playfully incorporating rec
 ycled materials such as plastic sushi grass\, local ethnic food wrappers a
 nd produce netting\, your child will make colorful handmade papers for a v
 ariety of 3D and 2D projects. Participants will use wire and recycled pack
 aging as supports for their paper creations of insects\, flowers and cast 
 wall hangings. Each student will also learn to make vibrant prints using c
 ollograph printmaking techniques. Takara will share the inspiration of her
  Japanese-Hawaiian plantation roots and will encourage the students to exl
 ore their own visual vocabularies through the discards of their daily live
