The Afiara Quartet, one of the rising stars on the chamber music circuit, won the prestigious 2010 Young Canadian Musicians Award. They are recipients of Lisa Arnhold Fellowships, and they assist the Julliard String Quartet with ensemble and chamber music instruction. They consist of: Valerie Li and Yuri Cho on violin, David Samuel on viola, and Adrian Fung on cello.
The Quartet will perform works by Wolf, Haydn, and Beethoven, as well as contemporary composer Dan Becker.
